Ruminating on the past

Thinking about back in the day when $4 gas was one of the biggest problems we faced. Now my natural gas Honda runs much cheaper, but the geniuses at GM continue to plug their biofuels, making my recent grocery trip total almost 3x more than what my grocery bill used to be. Not that I didn't see it coming, but no one ever thinks their basic daily sustenance costs would skyrocket after staying somewhat stable for so long. I'd kill for $4 gasoline if I knew this was where we'd be now. I'm ready to just start blending my lunch together with a multivitamin and drinking the lovely paste every day. At least then I can keep the ingredients cheaper since taste won't matter anymore. Maybe I should start stockpiling salt...
